"The breakfast was good. The subway station was right next to it, so the transportation was very convenient. However, I booked a square room, but I was given a boulevard room, which was in the opposite direction. There were cars coming and going, and there was a construction site, which was very noisy. Because I found it after entering the room, the things were already opened, so I didn't want to change them. During the stay, not only did I encounter the problem that the napkins ran out and were not replenished, but other things, such as tea bags, shower caps, soap, etc. were not replenished every day. I also encountered a small problem such as the power tripping in the room when I returned late (it was pitch black), and the door card was invalid. Let's talk about the service in the restaurant. Some male waiters asked what I wanted and went to chat, and the things didn't come for a long time. Those who mind the above details should book chain hotels, which may have more standardized services."
"The size of the room is similar to the Motel 168 I stayed in 20 years ago. The room is so small that I feel like I can't even turn around when I get in. The 28-inch box looks extremely huge. The bathroom is relatively spacious, but the price of 1,400 per night is really not worth it.
There is a marshall Bluetooth speaker and the room is well soundproofed.
The bathroom only has shower gel and shampoo, but no conditioner, and the shelf for bath towels is so high that I, who is over 1.6 years old, can't reach it.
The service is very good. There was no room when I checked in. Once the room was ready, my luggage was sent directly to the room.
The location of the hotel is very good. It is at the end of Liberty Avenue and close to the old city. It is convenient to go anywhere.
There are very few types of breakfast and not many choices. It is much worse than the nearby hotel that I booked before. Because the previous hotel has no rooms in the past few days, I moved here."

"Strategically located in the old town, it is very close to the Santa Justa lift, Carmo Abbey and viewing platform. It is convenient to eat and buy souvenirs. Breakfast was generous, with a wide range of ham, salmon, tarts, juices and more. Please note that luggage storage is chargeable."
"There is a bus and tram station in front of the hotel, and Cais de Sodre station is about a 5-minute walk, and you can also go to Time Out Market soon.
All amenities were provided except a toothbrush, and even a hair iron. It was my standard room, but it was spacious and quiet. It's flat and easy to walk from the hotel to Plaza de la Commerce and Plaza Rossio.
Breakfast was made to order rather than a buffet, and the drinks changed daily. It was very good.
Free food and drinks are always available in the lobby. The food and drinks will change during the midnight snack hour from 11pm to 7pm. Alcohol is also served during happy hour in the evening. There was a space in the basement that looked like a gym and a shared lounge. There was also a jacuzzi in the spa corner.
All the staff are also very responsive. It's a five-star hotel where you can stay comfortably, but it doesn't have much of the sparkling luxury.
Overall, this is a highly recommended hotel."
"The century-old building next to the mulberry park, the best Eggs benedict and Omelette in this trip, the taste is very good, the amazing fruit platter is from this hotel, the order breakfast is intimate, Pan Hailigen washing consumables, small and beautiful, comfortable and exquisite, the only regret, the room is slightly smaller, Moreover, the hotel also received an extra 7.5 European tip in addition to the travel tax when checking out. It was a bit inexplicable. I didn’t pay attention at the time. I thought it was a travel tax. After returning home, I found that I applied for a refund of the tip. It was still handled in a timely manner. It is still praised."
"I love the location of this hotel. It is very convenient to go anywhere. The surrounding city walk day/half-day tour is also very close.
The service attitude is very good. The room we checked in early was not ready. After helping us store our suitcases, we went out to play. When we came back in the evening, we saw that the room card was ready at the front desk and the suitcases had been delivered to the room.
The room was clean and tidy, and the hygiene was very good. The two beds were a bit crowded, but the bathroom was unexpectedly spacious, which was still very satisfactory. Other facilities were basically sufficient.
By the way, there were welcome egg tarts and cards, which was very thoughtful."
"Amazing hotel!!!!5 star customer service. I was so impressed with the level of service at every level. I would definitely go back without a doubt… very attentive… hospitality is off the charts. Must go, you won’t be disappointed."

Great
GGuest UserI spent a 5 nights at My Story Rossio and here are some of my thoughts:
PROS:
- Excellent location. Hard to beat this prime location. It's at the heart of the city with lots of things to do in proximity. There's also a Metro station across from it so you can take the subway directly from the airport.
- Nice decors and overall pretty clean.
CONS:
- The biggest issue I had during my stay was the poor structure of the building leading to disturbing loud noises. During housekeeping hours, the door to the cleaning supplies kept being slammed. Every time it was slammed, my whole room shook and I jumped up. I called the front desk asking if they could be more gentle with the doors. I was told that that was the way housekeeping was and to call back only if it still happened after 5pm (after housekeeping hours). It was impossible to get any rest during the day. I understand that housekeepers need to do their job but I wonder if this issue could be fixed simply by changing the door hinge to a slow close hinge. Also, in the middle of the night, I would wake up by the creaking noises of people above me when they walked across the room.
- Second issue was the thermostat. It was not adjustable and could only be controlled by the front desk. For some reason, the hotel decided that all the rooms needed to be in heating mode during the night. It was so hot and stuffy that I was not able to sleep for many nights. I had to call the front desk in the middle of the night to turn it off but sometimes it would automatically switch back on. Then I requested to have the cooling instead of heating on but it would be too cold at night and there was no way to dial it myself. So throughout my stay, it would feel like being inside either a sauna or a freezer.

KkthérèseThe river view room and toilet were small for one person so I’d image a couple would be uncomfortable here. The location is right in the heart of Alfama and a 10-15 minute walk to Chiado/Barrio Alto. I was excited to come and stay at this hotel after reading the reviews about how friendly the staff are, but I did not receive any welcoming or friendly service from any of the staff here. In fact, I felt unwelcome and almost as if I was bothering them when I spoke to them at the reception or asked first a simple request like water for my room. I previously stayed at Montebelo Vista Allegre hotel in Chiado and I would recommend this hotel instead. I wish I stayed there for the entirety of my trip.

GGuest UserThis is a very cost-effective hotel in Lisbon. It is the best and most convenient choice for family travel. It has a refrigerator, an induction cooker, pots and pans, and even red wine glasses. This is really surprising. The decoration of the hotel is very high-quality, and every waiter is enthusiastic. A handsome guy at the front desk even shared the snacks he bought with us, which was really heartwarming! I stay here with my family every year.

GGuest UserWe stayed here for 3 nights for vacation, below are our experience and reviews.
Cons:
1. Complimentary Water (only 2 during entire stay):
• Complimentary water is only provided on the first day, but this was not communicated at check-in.
• The vending machine water is overpriced (4.5x supermarket price).
• Clear instructions at check-in would allow guests to plan ahead and buy water elsewhere.
2. Reception Service:
• No guidance on how to call the front desk from the room, resulted in us going down to reception for assistance.
• Unprofessional receptionist behavior:
• A receptionist prioritized personal conversations with other guests over assisting me, even after noticing I needed help.
• My query took less than a minute but was delayed unnecessarily, leaving me frustrated and disappointed.
3. Housekeeping Issue:
• Despite placing a “Do Not Disturb” sign on the door, housekeeping knocked repeatedly and did not respond when asked who was there.
• The door lacked a peephole, which raised safety concerns as we couldn’t verify who was outside.
4. Taxi Drop-off:
• The hotel’s entrance is on a ramp near a traffic light, making it difficult for taxi to stop directly in front of the door.
• Guests with heavy luggage may find it inconvenient as taxis often park farther away.
Some Pros:
• Excellent location near a park with a charming Christmas market.
• Safe area with plenty of nearby restaurants and supermarkets, making it very convenient.
• Decent-sized rooms with ample space and a large desk for working.
• Good breakfast options.

Very Good
SSilcreThe facilities and location were great.
The downside was the construction work that kept us awake. It was two in the morning, and they were working with grinders, tools, and other heavy impacts.

AAnonymous UserBe careful with this hotel, in which service and facilities are wildly variable.
For our last night, one bath towel is missing for a room of double occupancy - a schoolboy error as they would call it - and when we requested the second one, the receptionist acted as if he were doing us a big favour. Then, on our last day, neither of our two room cards worked when we returned to the room 30 min before check out time - and because of receptionist shortage, it took us a good 15 min to get a replacement card - not a good thing for a hotel that brands itself for being chic and high tech.
The room controller, which is run by the TV system, as well as the lighting panel, are as dysfunctional as they get - one would have thought it should be a very simple thing to raise or lower the temperature through a quick flip of a switch, or a simple touch on dial. Instead, it is waiting for the TV to warm up, entering the room control panel, blah blah blah.
Note also a double bed at this hotel means two single beds slapped together. Not great if you have no wish to sleep atop a trench.
Our last night happens to be on a Friday, and the lobby practically turned into a dance floor with loud and cheap beats that went all the way to almost midnight and heard even on the highest floors.
No problem for being chic, but being chic is very different from being dysfunctional and uncomfy. A shame, as the location is excellent, some of the staff were nice and helpful, and some of the decor are clever.

TTaewanIt was better than I expected! I was more satisfied because the price was cheap.
However, the location is a bit ambiguous, but you can take a taxi to go to tourist attractions.

SSantosThe room was super clean, the location is near a public transportation which I'd good ans bad at the same time due to noise, the stuffs are friendly and helpful.
Therr only negatives are:
There is a TV and AC, but in order to use it you must demand the remotes.
As well as the fact that we either give them a credit card or 50 euros as a warranty instead of a ID, which we found it not so common and were doubting it, ans of course we gave cash.

SSefy LevyThis hostel is located about 3km walk from the center city, but does have some close by attractions (such as the Jeronimo's Monetary)
The room is extremely small, if you seat on the edge of the bed and try to stretch your legs, you'll most likely hit the wall.
We had our room replaced, as the first room had zero privacy for the toilet and the second room gave the illusion of privacy (as you can see in photos)
We've not seen any of the management, as everything is done thru WhatsApp to contact them and they will respond.
Breakfast was OK, it had a bit of choices but there was more cakes and cookies then actual food.
WWariyukiI won’t recommend this apartment though it is only less than 10 mins walk from the Martim Moniz metro station and the city centre.
The apartment is located at the back alley of some old buildings. There were a lot of homeless people and wanderers at both ends of the alleys. The most unacceptable thing was that the alley was stinky with the very bad smell of urine and garbage. Since the apartment is inside the alley that car cannot go inside, even we took Uber, we still need to walk 2-min from either end of the alley to the apartment.
Unfortunately we were assigned with a room on the ground level of the 4-storey apartment. To be exact, the room was slightly below ground level, meaning that we could see the feet of the people walking on the street through the 2 windows of our room. It was also a bit noisy when people talked on the street, parked their bicycle right at the windows of our room. Obviously we couldn’t open our windows or curtains, meaning that it was like staying in a room without windows. We have asked for a change of room. Since we were staying there for 7 nights, we also didn’t mind to change for only a few nights in the middle of the stay, however we were not provided with any option to change our room even though we booked this apartment 4 MONTHS ago (not the last minute customers).
Besides, the sound proofing of the apartment was bad. We could hear everyone talking outside. Since it’s the ground floor unit, there were more people passing by and going up to different floors and in and out the building, all sounds were quite annoying especially during the late night. Among the 7 nights, there were also 2 nights having some sorts of alarm in the mid nights for over 30 minutes. All these issues were very disturbing too.
Adding to it, the bed and pillows of the apartment were too hard and not comfortable to us. We didn’t have any good sleep unfortunately.
Nevertheless the interior of the apartment was fine, spacious and clean. Decoration was modern, daily house-keeping was also fine. There were aircon, washer and dryer, a basic coffee filter machines but not Nespresso coffee machine.
